Auto-Immune Addison\'s Disease Associated with Hyperprolactinemia

SUMMARY Three cases ofauto-immune addison's disease are reported in association with hyperprolactilinemia. All of them had galactorrhea. In three cases complete resolution of hyperprolactitinemia occurred with corticosteroid replacement. We suggest that hyperprolactinemia was due to cortisol deficiency operating directly or indirectly at the level of the pituitary.  

Auto-immune Addison's disease in identical twins.

Identical male twins are described, one of whom presented with clinical symptoms of Addison's disease whereas the other was shown to have a deficient adrenal cortical response to stimulation tests. Both had positive adrenal cortex antibodies.

Auto-immune neutropenia in an infant.

A case of neutropenia in an infant is described, associated with repeated minor infections which responded to treatment with antibiotics. A granulocyte agglutinin was detected in the serum. Following treatment with prednisolone the neutropenia remitted, the antibody disappeared and the infections ceased.
